There are some fit adjustment straps on the internal edge of the waistband that work quite well. I bought these for $29 on Amazon for the 12 Hours of Mesa Verde race. They were all day comfortable both on the bike (55 miles) and off and kept me cool in the desert sun. The only gripe I have is that the pockets come out of the shorts whenever you put a gloved hand in there.My husband loves it. The only problem is the liner runs a little small. He has other Royal Racing pants with detachable liners and this is the only one that came with a smaller liner.The pockets are too big and anything in there flops all over the place when you're pedaling. Also they wore out in the undercarriage area rather quickly.
