This is my first pair of UA Qualifier shorts. The two pairs of UA Launch shorts that I’ve worn every week for a year and a half (~75 wear & wash) have been my favorites. These Qualifiers are comparable in many ways. The size and fit is about the same with the Qualifiers possibly being a little smaller in the seat. The Qualifiers have a longer inner compression short that shows below the outer short. I don’t care much for that look, but in terms of function, it’s an improvement. The longer inner doesn’t ride up and the shorter outer moves about freely. On first wear, the longer inner short feels more snug than that of my old Launch pairs, but that might just be because they’re new. The drawstring on these is shorter and also wider, which produces a bulkier knot. The inner waistband on the Qualifiers is lined with an elastic that might be more comfortable. On both models, the side pockets are deep enough to accommodate the largest of cell phones. Materials, weight, feel, and functionality (breathability, sweat management) are about the same.I’m 5’8” and an athletic 180+ lbs and the US medium fit me well. I say US medium because prior to this Amazon purchase, I bought and returned 2 pair of UA medium Launch shorts from eBay that must have been an international medium because they were too small (noticeably smaller than my old medium UA Launch Which came direct from the US UA outlet).I bought the Qualifiers because they are (at the moment) considerably less expensive than the Launch. I might end up liking them better. I hope they wear as well as my older UA’s have. The compression short part doesn’t fit as snugly as I would like and tend to need frequent adjustment. The tag is sewn in along the waist band in a manner that needs surgery to remove. Annoying.Just what I wanted. I recommend it.I bought my husband a pair of these Under Armour Shorts, and he loved them! He said they allowed movement and comfortability during his gym workouts. He generally wears a 29" or 30" length on his jeans, and these shorts fit him great and didn't go past his knees.great shorts. They fit perfectly well and are very breathable despite having the compression shorts embedded. There are 2 large pockets on the side but no small pocket with a zip in the back, which I often find usefulI got myself two 2-in-1 shorts. One this and other a cheaper one which looked like this. The difference in visible. These are more comfortable and better fittingGood materials and well constructed, but runs on the small side. Makes me think they are just skimping on fabric to maximize their profits....and these shorts are not cheap. The under layer is breathable and comfortableGreat shorts. I'd probably go for slightly longer ones next time. The picture and description does do them justice to be fair.Pockets occasionally turn out if there's nothing in them which is a minor annoyance.I've bought a lot of under armour clothing over the years and usually they are of excellent quality, this however is not, after one wear & wash, a hole has appeared in one of the pockets and the colour is slightly faded.Super comfortable and practical for gym, running, and tennis. Nice deep pockets for tennis and the gym and going to buy another pair as they get so much use! Highly recommend. The inner "shorts" don't chafe for long runs and the material has not started to pill despite a lot of use. My favourite sports shorts by some margin!I don’t think I’ll ever go to the gym in regular shorts anymore, these work way too well for me to go back. I mainly lift weights but do a moderate amount of cardio alongside, these shorts work great for both! They especially work well with heavy squats, running and basically any other kind of cardio you can do.Good quality materials, great price and perfect functionality. Would highly recommend to any avid gym-goer.Not sure if it's because I'm a size too large or too small, bit the inner leg rides up the thight a bit. Still, a nice, quality pair of workout shorts.
