While these shorts fit a whole size small, (my daughter usually wears a small, but needed a medium), once you do get the correct size they are AWESOME. The pattern is eyecatching and pleasing and seems to go with all the other cycling gear we already own. The legs don't squeeze too tightly yet stay in place, even without the grippers inside. The waste band stays flat and comfortable, even on 100 mile rides. But the most amazing thing is that my daughter was bit by a large dog the first time wearing these, and though the teeth broke the surface of her skin (she's okay, by the way), the shorts are perfectly fine. The blood washed out in a normal cycle with normal detergent and there are no holes. We believe the fabric stretched with the teeth and actually protected her skin to some degree. I would highly recommend these shorts!Stylish. Seat padding a little on the light side but these are tri shorts for swiming and running as well as cycling so to be expected. Also - they make my wife look hot.After about a year of on and off riding and commuting, the seams have come apart. For the price, I'd expect a lot more longevity.It's a shame because it feels very good and fits me well. I ordered one size up. The chamois is on the light side, which I prefer. I ride 30 miles almost every workday.I haven't raced in them yet, so can't say anything about that. But with regards to fit, I ended up returning the small that I had originally purchased for a medium size. I'm 5'4 and 120lbs.Fits true to size for biking shorts, size up one size.Horrible! Dont buy! I never, ever write a review but these are the worst shorts for cycling I have ever seen.I am an avid cyclist. I ride a bicycle every day ( so I know my gear) and these have NO PADDING! its this thin thing and its so poorly sewn it scratches you! Worst ever. Pearl iZumi has really declined in product value. Also, I am a very small woman ( 110 lbs) and i ordered a medium and it was STILL TOO SNUG! save yourself the money!I ordered a medium in these, I wear a size 10 pants and most of my running bottoms are medium. I could not even get these past my thighs. I felt like I was trying to put on an xs. Had to send back and find something else for my upcoming tri.I got lucky with ordering my first tri kit online! I am 5'1 and a muscular 135. I ordered the M and it fits perfectly. I typically wear a XS-S in most things, but knew tri kits ran a little small. This just ended up working and I get a lot of comments about it's design.Die Hose passt sehr gut und schnürt nicht ein. Das Bündchen am Oberschenkel liegt gut an und ist nicht zu eng. Eigentlich mag ich Radhosen mit Trägern lieber, jedoch sitzt diese Hose auch am Bauch sehr angenehm.
