This is more like a shoelace size.This is the original surf shorts material that I grew up with in the 80’s-90’s. I live in Hawaii and have been surfing since I was little. I instantly remembered why I don’t like this material. When I sit the shorts have no stretch thus the coin slot. Also, stays wet longer than the newer material. But I love the color and the size, it’s hard to find 31” waist, so I kept them. Oh, and I’m dark so running these without underwear, which is blasphemy here in hawaii, will show your stuff because it’s see thru.slightly tight. but good material. Dry quickly.
