The dye is uneven and the shorts look terrible pretty fast. These shorts are made from cotton with a little bit of spandex for a bit of stretchability, and they have a gusetted crotch.First, a little background. I love the prAna shorts and pants I have for rock climbing and really, any outdoor activity. Their products are stylish and well made. I can look good - even sometimes for work if I'm being casual that day - and then hit the gym in the exact same clothes I wore all day. When it comes to pants, the gussetted crotch and stretchable fabrics make a world of difference for mobility. But, shorts are already more mobile than pants (there's no material to bunch up on your knees or lower thighs), and even though these are a bit more mobile, I'm not convinced that rock climbing in these shorts is all that different from most of the other shorts I have. So for their price, I just can't give this product 5 stars.Like the prana brand . Have another pair of these but wanted a grey pair. These are very dark dusky grey almost grey brown. Zipper has trouble staying clasped up top when fully zipped up. Probably just this pair but a bummer. Side pocket won’t hold wallet or anything but smallest iPhoneThese shorts look good and are very sturdy, but beware of how tight it is in the crouch area. I have the zion shorts and it has way more space then the bronson. If I tried these in store, I definitely would not have bought them, but returning it to Amazon third party seller wasn't worth it. Overall, very nicely constructed, but fitting might not be great. Reference for sizing: 165 pounds, 5'8' athletic build.love the bronson short. this is my second replacement pair. as a slim build these outdoors / work shorts work well for me. durable, flexible, non-obstructive slim fit. a tad close under the goolies but only when sitting but these shorts wernt made for that. so it all works out :)Pretty decent fit. I'm 5'10", 150lbs, and a 30" waist. These are comfy due to the stretch, but the stretch is also in the direction of the waist band, so they get looser during a days wear. I have to wear a belt with them for this reason, and to prevent the rear waist band area at the small of the back from poofing out. That looses it a star. Lower leg pocket fits iPhone 5 sized smart phones well.Though I prefer the 9 inch inseam, these keep my arthritic hips warmer. They are very stretchy for a mere 2% spandex pant. When I first got them they had 7% or more and were extremely comfy. These sacrifice that a bit for style, and the waist is tighter of course. They look like standard jeans, only you get a BIG PHONE pocket on right side behind the seam. My Lg fits with its sticky soft case....I would be quite disappointed if I had payed full price. The fit is slightly large but not a deal breaker. The material is very thin; I don't expect these to last very long. They come out of the dryer looking like you slept in them (maybe that will go away after they have been washed a few more times)Lastly, as is so often the case, they cheaped out and used a very short zipper, which is really irritating, especially if your are tall.I would only buy again if they were deeply discounted.Mon mari les adorent tout simplement.
