I have an entry level road bike and been looking for a pair of comfortable shorts for a long time.This one is exactly what i was looking for, I do around 30 miles everyday ... and 50 on the weekends.From a product quality point of view, this is Gore bike wear, so you are definitely getting something worth your money.The pockets are not easily accessible though, otherwise ... it's a great short if you are looking for something comfortable.Large did fit great for a 34" waist.I did a lot of research on these before I bought them. If you look up the product online on Gore's website, these come with the padded spandex insert just like other Gore Countdown shorts. These shorts do NOT come with spandex insert so I returned them. It is not mentioned if they do or don't come with insert in the Amazon description, that is why I checked Gore's website.Very disappointed.
